Create a crew and invite family with a code. Everyone sees the same trips, and nobody gets in without an owner or admin saying yes.

Your Trip Photos Stay in Your Crew

Photos you upload are only visible to members of this camp crew — they're not public on the web, and people outside your crew can't view or find them. If someone leaves the crew, their uploaded photos stay behind with the crew; only Owners and Admins can delete them.

Like any app, ours relies on a backend storage system that our admins (the app's owner and any other admins with storage access) can technically access if needed — we don't browse your photos, but you should know that access exists.

What we collect

  • Sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo from Google, or from Sign in with Apple on iPhone (Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one). CampCrew has no passwords.
  • What you add: trips, campgrounds and site details, outings, dining, expenses, packing lists, ideas, photos, comments and reactions, and your crew's custom categories and cuisines. Photos are re-encoded before upload, which removes hidden location data.
  • Home address (optional): kept in a record only you can read, and used to calculate distances.
  • We don't collect your device's location. CampCrew has no ads, analytics or tracking today; if we add ads, we'll update the Privacy Policy first.

Who can see it

  • Your crew: everything in the crew's log, plus your name, email, photo and role.
  • A crew you ask to join: your name and email.
  • Other crews: only public campgrounds' details from OpenStreetMap (name, address and map location), so search can suggest them. Nothing about you, your crew or your visits.
  • The companies that run CampCrew for us: Google Firebase, Cloudflare, Apple (sign-in), Google Places and OpenStreetMap (searches), Mailgun and Resend (our email), and Stripe and Printful (shop orders only).
  • We never sell your data.

Keeping and deleting it

  • We never delete anything because it hasn't been used.
  • Delete trips and photos any time. Settings → Delete account removes your profile, home address and sign-in account, and any crew you own along with everything in it. You can also email support@campcrew.camp.

Terms of Service

By using CampCrew you agree to these Terms. This is a summary. The full Terms are linked at the bottom.

1. Accounts

Sign in with Google, or with Apple on iPhone. During our limited launch, new accounts need an invitation or registration pass. Keep your Google or Apple account secure.

2. Crews

Everything you add to a crew is visible to all its members. A crew's owner can delete the crew, which permanently deletes everything in it, including what other members added.

3. Your content

You own what you add. You let us store it and show it to your crew, only to run CampCrew. Only upload what you have the right to share.

4. Acceptable use

Nothing illegal, harmful, obscene or harassing, no attempts to reach data or systems you're not allowed to, and no bots or scrapers. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Price and storage

CampCrew is free today. If we add paid storage plans, we'll update these Terms before anyone is charged. If a crew goes over its storage limit, we give 90 days' notice before removing its oldest photos. We never delete a crew or account for inactivity.

6. CampCrew Shop

Items are printed on demand by Printful and paid through Stripe. Defective or damaged items are replaced or refunded if reported within 30 days of delivery.

7. No warranty

CampCrew is provided "as is," and our liability is limited as far as the law allows.

8. Leaving

You can delete your account any time in Settings.

Security Policy & Architecture

1. Sign-in

Google, or Apple on iPhone, through Firebase Authentication. CampCrew stores no passwords, and our server checks a signed sign-in token on every request.

2. Crew privacy

Database rules let only a crew's members read or change its data. Your home address is in a record only you can read. Admin access requires a verified owner account or an admin role.

3. Photos

Stored privately with Cloudflare. Upload links expire after 5 minutes, viewing links are short-lived and only issued for your own crew's photos, and no storage keys are built into the apps.

4. Payments

CampCrew never receives or stores card numbers.

5. Encryption

All traffic uses HTTPS.

6. Report a vulnerability

Email security@campcrew.camp. We acknowledge reports within 48 hours.

This will permanently delete your user profile and sign you out. If you're the only owner of a crew, that crew and all its data are deleted too. To request full deletion of photos/logs a crew you don't own still holds, email support@campcrew.camp.
